  • What is a child account and how do I create one?
    All children under 13 years old must have a child account. In order to create a child account, a parent account must first be created. Once a parent account has been created, click on the 'hamburger' icon in the top left portion of the profile tab. Scroll down to the bottom of this panel and click, 'Add Child Account'. This new child account profile will be accessible from the parent account until the account is transferred.
  • How do I transfer a child account from a parent account?
    Navigate to the menu section of the child account and click 'transfer ownership'. This will permanently disconnect the child account from the parent account.
  • Can I create and connect more than one child account with a parent account?
    Yes, you can add unlimited child accounts to a parent account from the parent's profile.
  • Can I use the app if I don't live in the United States?
    At this point, the Ballplayer app is only accessible to accounts with a phone number residing within the United States. We understand there is international interest, and we are hoping to expand accessibility soon. Subscribe to our newsletter towards the bottom of this page to be informed of when this update occurs.
  • How do I create a team?
    After you have created your own individual account, you can create a team by navigating to the profile tab and selecting the blue circle button with a white plus in the middle. From there select, 'Create New Team'.
  • How do I schedule a game?
    Schedule in Advance: Click the team profile, click the three dots in the top right section of the team page, then fill out the info. The ability to schedule practices and events is coming soon! Start a Nonscheduled game: Click the scheduling tab, click 'Quick Game' in the top right section of the page, then fill out the info.
  • How do ghost players work?
    Player stats will accumulate prior to each player profile being claimed or the team invitation being accepted. Before adding a new ghost player in the team roster page, please ensure that the ghost player is not already a player in the app. If this happens, the new account stats being saved for will not be able to combine with other account stats.
  • What can fans of my team see?
    Followers of a team can view team schedule, stats (if public), live game updates, post game summary, and more! If team stats are private, the individual player stat view is restricted to the manager, coach, and team admin, while the ability to view collective team stats remain visible to all. If team stats are public, anyone can view both individual player stats and collective team stats.
  • How do team messages work?
    A team message thread is automatically created after a team is created. All members of the team will be automatically included. Any other user can be added at any point by clicking on the three dots in the thread.
  • How long does it take to create a team in Ballplayer?
    With our new 'Express Create' feature, creating a team can be done in under one minute! Express Create: This feature allows you to send a shareable link to your team, which allows users to join the team without having to manually input all team members yourself. * Note that a user has to onboard to Ballplayer first before requesting to join the team from the shareable link.
  • What are the different ways to invite users to my team?
    If a team has yet to be created: 1. (Recommended) Team creator uses the 'express create' feature when creating a team to get a shareable link to send to all members of the team 2. Team creator manually inputs all team member's information If a team has already been created: 3: (Recommended) Click the blue QR icon in the 'my profile' screen or in the team page and share your QR code or link with members of your team 4: Go to your team page, click the three dots in the top-right corner, click 'share team link' 5: Go to your team page, click the three dots in the top-right corner, click 'edit team roster' and manually edit team roster. This is also where managing the jerseys take place * Note that a user has to onboard to Ballplayer first before requesting to join the team from the shareable link.
  • Can I keep stats for just a single player without scorekeeping for the whole team?
    Unfortunately not at this time. In order for any player stats to be recorded, a coach, manager, or team admin must scorekeep the entire game for the team.
  • If I scorekeep a game, will stats for both teams be saved?
    No. Only stats for the team you have score keeping capabilities for (or the selected team if you have score keeping capabilities for both teams playing) will be saved.
  • What is the difference between public and private stats?
    'Private Stats' restrict individual player stat view to the manager, coach, and team admin, while the ability to view collective team stats remain visible to all. 'Public Stats' allow anyone to view both individual player stats and collective team stats.
  • How do I give feedback?
    We greatly appreciate any and all feedback! 1. How to report a technical error (bug/crash): Please screen record/shoot the issue as it occurs in order to give our developers the best sense of what went wrong.   • How much does Ballplayer cost?
    Confirmed plans: Free: It has not yet been announced which features will be included in the free plan, but will consist of all basic features. Premium: It has not yet been announced which features will be included in the Premium plan, nor has the cost been made public. However, all profiles created by March 6th will receive a blue checkmark, signifying free Premium Features for life.
